The Way
There are many different beliefs in the world about what is right; there are many different ways for people to choose.
But there is only one true way, only one way for the children of God for it is written,” 28 In the way of righteousness is life; and in the pathway thereof there is no death.” Proverbs 12:28
God’s way or no way for it is written,”12 there is a way which seems right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Proverbs 14:12
Mankind has for centuries gone about life with no regard for God, they have decided to follow the ways of Satan and not Our Lord Jesus for it is written,” 19 the way of the wicked are as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.” Proverbs 4:19
Jesus warns us about this evil way and tells us where it will lead to for it is written, “13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many there be which go in there at: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads unto life, and few there be that find it.” Matthew 7:13-14
The way to life is straight and narrow and only can come through Jesus for it is written,” 1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. 4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. 5Thomas said unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou go; and how can we know the way? 6 Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:1-6
Jesus is the way brothers and sisters; He is the way which leads to eternal life. This word ”way” is a very important word for there are many different ways in this world for it is written,” 14 Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men. 15 Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away.16 For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall. 17 For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence.” Proverbs 4:14-17
And again,” 11 Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee: 12 To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaks froward things; 13 Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness; 14 Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked;15 Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths:” Proverbs 2:11-15
Again there are many ways: crooked ways, evil ways, and ways of darkness. But the only true way is Jesus, his way leads us to righteousness for it is written,” 20 I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment: 21 That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.” Proverbs 8:20-21
Brothers and sisters I pray that you try His way for it is good and I leave you with this prayer, “26 I have declared my ways, and thou heard me: teach me thy statutes.27 Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I talk of thy wondrous works.28 My soul melts for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto thy word. 29 Remove from me the way of lying: and grant me thy law graciously. 30 I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid before me. 31 I have stuck unto thy testimonies: O LORD, put me not to shame.32 I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart.33 Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end. 34 Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart. 35 Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight.36 Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.37 Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way.” Psalm 119:26-37
