God has designed people with the ability to make our own decision.
We have a choice to live free from the curse or free from the blessings of God for it is written, “19I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.” Deuteronomy 30:19
The Apostle Paul says that this evil world has many things that are under the curse of God that are available unto us but it may not be wise to embark on them for it is written, “ 12All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.” I Corinthians 6:12
The question becomes, “are we living a life that is consistent with the will of God or are we living a life that may cause the curse to effect our lives due to our own will?”
Jesus was sent to earth to save us from this curse and to show us how to live free of it.
Jesus came to do the will of God on this earth and we are to live a life consistent to the will of God to avoid the curse for it is written, “42Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. 43And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.” Luke 22:42-43
How do we accomplish living a life that is according to God’s will just as Jesus did?
The apostle Paul says, “1I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:1-2
We have been given the answers that we need to live right but the problem has been that people have chosen the curse rather than blessings.
The will of God is that a man or woman be married to enjoy lovemaking but people have chosen to exercise their free will and be cursed due to fornication for it is written, “14The mouth of strange women is a deep pit: he that is abhorred of the LORD shall fall therein.”
Proverb 22:14
God has given to us all things richly to enjoy but people have taking the things in the world and have abused them causing themselves to sin.
This has been a common theme for both men and women since the beginning. People of great power as well as the average person has fallen to this particular trap of the devil for it is written, “ 1But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites; 2Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love. 3And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart. 4For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.” I Kings 11:1-4
Solomon was a great king and had the right to do whatever he wanted to do with his life just as you or I but we see that he cursed himself with his decision; he had taken the gift of marriage and abused this privilege just as many people have done in today’s times.
We have been given a free will, the right to choose blessings or cursing. We have been given a right to eat what we want and as much as we want, to drink, to speak how we want, to worship what we want, to desire what we want, to choose whom we want for a wife or a husband, as well as to own what we want.
Free will is a wonderful thing but if it is exercised in the wrong way it can cause you your soul for it is written, “1Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; 2And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour.3But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becomes saints; 4Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. 5For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.6Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. 7Be not ye therefore partakers with them. 8For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light.”
Ephesians 5:1-8
Avoid the wrath of God, do not choose the curse, learn of God and choose blessings.
We have been given a free will to read what we want, to study all the books in the world but I pray that you will study the Bible for it is written, “ This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shall meditate therein day and night, that thou may observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shall make thy way prosperous, and then thou shall have good success.” Joshua 1:8
I pray that you will exercise your right to free will wisely, I pray that you choose blessings and not curses for your life, that you may receive eternal life come the day of our Lord and Savior’s return for it is written, “ 21Not everyone that says unto me (Jesus), Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my father which is in heaven.” Matthew 7:21
Until next time, I love you
