God is not the author of confusion

In today’s times there is a confusion that happens among believers that should never be.
Believers having debates about the Word of God, who’s understanding is right and who’s is wrong causing controversy among those who are looking to serve our Lord and Savior  Christ Jesus.

My brothers and sisters I beseech you to not continue is this manner.

Some believe that they are to observe a certain day of the week for worship.
Some believe that they are obligated to attend a certain religious organization.
Some believe that they cannot eat certain foods.
Some believe that all of mankind derived from one Jewish man.
Some believe that they are going to fly away before the tribulation, which Jesus spoke of.
Some believe that they are to be under the authority of a man or woman in order to serve God.
There are many things in which people have come to believe about serving God, but none of these things should causing a loss of love for one another among believers, confusion if you will.

The Bible teaches us not to get in debates about what each of us have come to believe for it is written, “ But avoid foolish questions and genealogies and contentions and strivings (fights) about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.” Titus 3:9

And again it says that some people have even fasted looking to gain more knowledge of God so that they might debate for it is written, “ Behold you fast for strife (a contest) and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: you shall not fast as you do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high.” Isaiah 58:4

No one on this earth is the authority on The Word of God, but God has revealed himself to many of us and to all that will seek him for it is written, “ if any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that gives to all men liberally (freely), and upbraided (disgrace) not; and it shall be given him.” James 1:5

And again, “ For who makes you to differ from another and what do you have that you did not receive? Now if you did receive it, why do you glory, as if you had not received it? I Corinthians 4:7

For this very reason we should not find ourselves in the midst of confusion debating about whether your brother or sister in Christ wishes to believe that they are going to be rapture up, whether it is true to you or not does not matter. Your brother or sister in Christ is standing in faith for what they believe to be true; so why should you debate their belief?

Let them alone and keep the peace, if the topic is something that you have another understanding about and the Lord directs you to share it with them then share it, and if not trust God that he will reveal the truth to all mysteries in there due season.

The Bible says, “ Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.” I Corinthians 4:5

And again, “ But why do you Judge your brother or why do you set at naught thy brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written, as I live, said the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” Romans 14: 10-12

Understanding this truth, why are we disputing or debating the Word of God? If any of us has come to believe something that is not true, will not God reveal even this unto us in his own time?

Those of you who believe that you have to observe a certain day of the week and those who believe that you cannot eat certain foods don’t debate about it, but do all things that God might be glorified.

God reveals different things to each of us at different times in our lives, some of us may know things that some others may not know but God is not being glorified in the debating of his word for it is written, “who art you that judges another man’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Yea, he shall be held up: for God is able to make him stand.  One man esteems one day above another: another esteems every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. He that regards the day, regards it unto the Lord; and he that regards not the day, to the Lord he does not regard it, he that eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he that eats not, to the Lord he eats not, and gives God thanks.” Romans 14: 4-6

Brothers and sisters there are many things God has shown us all about his Word, but if the things we are discussing has no direct reference to whether we will receive eternal life, stop debating about them for it is written, “ wherefore my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Do all things without murmurings and disputing: That you may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.” Philippians 2: 12-15

The confusion of debating the Word of God should never be found among true servants of Jesus Christ!

We all claim to know the same Jesus Christ so let us act as thou we know him, let us each concentrate on our own obedience to God and avoid striving about his word for it is written, “ God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.”  I Corinthians 14:33

Jesus said, “Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God.” Matthew 5:9

Jesus said, “ By this shall all men know that you are my disciples if you have love one to another.” John 13:35

Brothers and sisters stop the debating and start the loving, and whatever it is that we think we know about our Father’s Word Jesus will reveal it to us upon his return.

Until next time I love you.
