My testimony starts with a trail of destruction. I was raised in a setting of drugs, taught how to package them and distribute them in Chicago Illinois. I had a very understanding mother who loved me dearly and a father who loved me the only way he knew how. When I was about 25 yeasr old my mother divorced my father because of his involvement with drugs. Not shortly after the divorce I joined a gang and began to make my living by selling drugs. My life really began to go down hill after that. I started using drugs which affected the lives of my children that were born to me by four different women. I continued to live my life like this until I was 35 years old. I found myself in and out of prison. Everything I had gained through the means of the world I had lost. I over dosed on PCP and ended up in the hospital in a deep coma for seven days.
In 2009, I heard the voice of the Lord calling me to repentance and this time I listened, answered and accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I wanted to know more about Jesus so I joined a Bible program, but had not made a decision to truly commit my life to Jesus Christ. God allowed me to stumble farther and deal with more hardships until I could no longer live my life according to the world’s ways anymore.
I now serve the Lord Jesus with all my heart mind and soul. God has blessed my life in every way tremendously every since. I have a clearer mind free from drugs and sin. I have friends who are fellow believers that I love very much and a church home I love. I am growing more and more in the knowledge of God daily, and I know and understand that all things work together for my good.
I was once a gangster disciple, but now I am a disciple of Jesus Christ.
I pray that whatever you are going through in life and however your life may be; If you are living a life without Jesus, I pray that you call out His name and ask for him to come into your life and that His spirit live within you for the rest of your life that you might be saved.
