Belief without confessing Jesus

Many people today claim that they believe in Jesus Christ, they say that they believe but they will keep silent around certain people and in certain places.

So I will ask the question what good is it to believe but yet not confess him for it is written, “Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue.
For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.”  John 12:42-43

Salvation comes by way of confession and belief in Jesus Christ for it is written, “9That if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved.” Romans 10:9

Belief and confession is the way to eternal life, so how can you have one without the other for it is written, “ But will thou know O vain man, that faith without works is dead?” James 2:20

Belief in Jesus without confessing him before the world is worthless for it is written, “ Even so faith, if it has not works is dead being alone. Yea, a man may say, you have faith and I have works: show me your faith without your works and I will show you my faith by my works.” James 2:17-18

The devils believe in Jesus but they do not confess that they serve him for it is written, “You believe that there is one God; you do well: the devils also believe and tremble.” James 2:19

Many have said that they believe but act as though they are ashamed to confess him and Jesus himself says, “ For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory and in his Father’s and of the holy angels.” Luke 9:26

We have been placed on this earth to represent our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and every opportunity we get to confess him we should for it is written, “ When he was come nigh even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen.” Luke 19:37

But there are many people on this earth that think that we are to be silent believers for it is written, “ Some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him (Jesus) rebuke your disciples.” Luke 19:39

Jesus let’s us know that part of our job is to confess his name before all mankind for it is written, “ And he (Jesus) answered and said unto them, I tell you that if these (his disciples) should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out. Luke 19:40
If a servant of God does not speak about Jesus and will not confess him what good is he for it is written, “Ye are the salt of the earth; if the salt have lost his savor, wherewith shall it be salted? It is henceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out and to be trodden under foot of men.Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel, but on a candle stick; and it gives light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5: 13-16

Many people today say that they believe and are followers of Jesus but refuses to confess him before certain people just as the parents of the blind man that was healed by Jesus for it is written, “These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews; for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue. John 9:22

They were afraid of being put out of the church for confessing Jesus, what is your reason?

Is it your career, your family, your wife or husband, your political status, what would cause you to hesitate or not to confess Jesus?

I pray that you do believe in Jesus and I pray that you also confess him before everyone you come in contact with for it is written, “ Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwells in him, and he in God.” I John 4:15

Until next time I love you
